DOING YOUR BEST ALL OF THE TIME

All around us, at any given time there is some kind of competition going on. You have races to see who is faster, games to see who wins championships, and challenges between people, children, and friends. Competition is something ingrained in the human being. Striving to be the best of the best is what makes competition transform or mold the individuals efforts, attitudes, and achievements in their life.
There are many good things that competitions bring out of a person. True competition helps develop the level of Godfs gifts. WE have all been blessed with spiritual gifts that have been given to us by God or Ke Akua. Some have the gift to cooking a fine meal, or playing the piano in concert, or running like the wind, writing poetry to bring you to emotions, or just having the simple gift of making people laugh. What makes us unique is our individual spiritual gifts, what makes us equal is that we all have been given spiritual gifts by our Heavenly Father that we can develop to bring out the best in each of us. Before coming down to Earth we made a spiritual pact with God to fulfill our spiritual purpose here on Earth. Some of us have connected to God and have determined to fulfill our promise to God. WE shall be blessed with spiritual gifts to assist God in his work for all mankind, plant kind, animal kind, and all things in this universe.
When you turn competition into positive growth and striving to achieve the highest in your ability you have understood the true meaning of what it means to be competitive. Being competitive does not mean to beat everyone, or to be number one, or even to be the winner of a competition, it means to do onefs best. gDo your best every time in everything you do, and the next time do it better.h
These were the words of the late Kalua kaiahua to myself as I was learning about my Godly given gift of healing.
By focusing our minds, body, and spirit to one purpose of developing our Godly talent we become instruments of Akua and experts of our various gifts. In Hawaii we call these experts Kahuna. A professional in his or her art, with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding a Kahuna can fully reach the highest goal or potential that God has placed for us to achieve and reach. This is the true meaning of competition. Let Heaven be on Earth as we achieve greatness and be successful in all we do. In humility there is much greatness.
Mahalo Ke Akua. Give thanks and praise to GOD
